    Xbox one controller stops functioning


    I have only had my XB1 for about 6 months and the same problems seem to keep coming back. One of the most frustrating is the controller turning on but not functioning with the system. The light does not dim the way it normally does when it connects successfully
    and the trouble shooting does not always work. This is a major inconvenience considering that I allot a certain time to play and sometimes spend the entire time just trying to get the console setup. Isn't this system supposed to be a step up from the 360?

    XB1 Controller Problem in Windows 7

    My XBox One controller randomly stops functioning. I've been playing Strider and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, and both of them occasionally stop accepting inputs from the controller.

    The controller isn't disconnecting - Strider displays a message to reconnect when that happens. It just stops working in-game. The XBox button is still lit up, the USB cable is still in place, but none of the buttons do anything.

    Unplugging the controller and plugging it back in makes it work again, but I don't want to wear out the micro-USB port by doing that 10 times a day. Is there anything I can try to fix this?

    Controller doesn't turn system on

    My Xbox one controller doesn't turn on my Xbox one, the module I have is the A/W edition and every time I press the Xbox button it just blinks for about 10 seconds and then stops. At first I thought it was weak batteries but after changing them it still
    doesn't wotk. When I first recieved it, it worked. I was able to turn on my Xbox from my coach, I've only just gotten mine about a month ago and about two weeks ago that featute stopped functioning

    A button not working

    A is one of the most common buttons being pressed as it is the select button on almost every menu. Controllers do get ware on them and sometimes the button will stop functioning.

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 5 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 3 minutes and then plug in your console.

    Well for one that's for the Xbox One, I'm talking about an Xbox 360 controller. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver countless times, it just won't connect. Something I've noticed is that when I press the sync button on the controller and then on
    the receiver, the controllers lights quickly stop flashing, indicating that it is in some way communicating with the receiver, but just won't connect. I've also tested both the controller and the receiver on a different computer and they are both perfectly
    functional meaning the blame definitely lies with Windows.
