Xbox One controller "stick button" too easy to press?

I'm a month into my Xbox One, played on the 360 for years before that.

The sticks on the Xbox One controller seem (too) easy to button-press, compared to the 360. Playing FPS like Titanfall and CoD:AW I keep button pressing on the stick (mostly right) when I'm fighting. Which sucks when you're 100 yards from someone and trying
to shoot them but end up doing a melee attack instead.

1. Has anyone else experienced this?
2. Any suggestions? Any way to firm up the controller hardware?
I've tried 4 different controllers, I've tried stock / .30 Kontrol Freek / .45 Kontrol Freek, and I've given it a few weeks of play to see if it's just something my hands need to adjust to. But it's an ongoing problem, and I'm wondering if this is an aspect
of the new controller that anybody else is struggling with.

Any help appreciated!

:)

What will the next xbox be like?

...It'd be nice to see some legitimate improvements to controllers. - Finding ways to add more buttons without making it too cluttered or complicated would be great.

The Atari Jaguar controller was pretty good in this area. It had three primary fire buttons, start, pause & a phone-style keypad (which used overlays specific to each game) for a total of 17 buttons. It was very comfortable, with the three fire buttons all
lined-up along the natural arc of the thumb. The only thing it lacked was analog sticks & triggers, but they'd be pretty easy to include. Here's a link to some pics...

Theres 1 button for running and jumping....thats not really a challenge. And everytime I would slightly move my control stick to the side my guy would jump off a building like he was suicidal. Then too many times I would press the button to start climbing
and my guy would just stand there.....only to get beat down by 5 guards.
So you complain that it's to easy, then you complain that it's too hard?
Yeah, thats what I'm doing.....lets go with that.

i have to say, thats interesting.. i still use both systems daily and they both feel the same to me although my controllers i bought two at launch and a third about 6 months later, so i'm not sure if i have the same controller as you..

what i will say compared to the 360 controllers is the xbox one controllers are junk!!

unfortunately i think your just going to have to get used it.. unless a better controller comes around.. which i doubt unless they relaunch a updated version of the "one"..

i wish you luck..

It turns out there's actually a
Titanfall controller configuration called "Button Kicker"
that just swaps the Melee (Right Stick Button) and Crouch (B Button). I'm trying that out because crouching while frantically maneuvering in a gunfight is probably going to be less harmful than
kicking during one.

Manual(s)

Third lowest on the left would be Caps and toggled via Left Stick (LS). The two sticks on your controller can be pressed into the controller as if they were buttons. Press the Left Stick in and you'll change between caps and lowercase.
