Xbox One Controller skips menu points

Hello,

for round about two weeks I have the problem, that my new Xbox One Controller (Sports White SE) skips 1-3 menu points when I only press for example RB only once.

Ive already reconneted the controller for multiple times, used it with a USB cable, changed my WiFi settings (maybe there are some interferences that the controller is struggling with when used wirelessly) and also tried to configurate it in the options
which only helped for a few minutes. Moreover, the controller only seems to skip menu points in the XBox menu but not ingame. The only thing that happens ingame is when I play Red Dead Redemtion 2 my character randomly starts to sneak even tho I do not push
the left stick.

I hope somebody can help me to solve this anoying problem.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. When you have the cable plugged in does it seem to do this also? Sometimes it can lag some, mine does it from time to time. Try

Power cycle the console to clear anything running in the background. Also try updating it even though there is no update. The 5-10 seconds it takes sometimes re-syncs the software.

Sounds like it might be defective, but first - have you tried updating it?

It totally sounds like a Defective controller.

Can you try it in a Windows 10 PC? Like connect it with the USB cable, open a game and navigate a menu with RB?

Have you ever tried navigating the Xbox Menu using the controller via cable? Does the problem still occur?

Does it happen with other controllers?

In summary:

If with the cable the problem is gone, than is wireless interference.

If it happens with only that controller, it's probably a defective unit, please reach to the
Xbox Support here.

if it happens with other controllers it might be a software issue. Please
try to perform a factory reset keeping games and apps and see if this fixes your problem.

If the factory reset didn't help and every controller has the issue, please reach to the xbox support and see what are your options.

Brand new xbox -4 days old. The wireless controller all of a sudden started to skip menu options. It skips at least two options using the arrow keypad and joystick. Is there anyway to fix this? Will this be an ongoing problem? I’m unable to go to
settings or the home menu at all.

to system-compatible controls?

If the same happens with 3 different controls, does it belong to any Insider ring?

If you don't belong to Insider, have you tried any procedures in the controls like updating firmware and in the console reset the console while keeping games and App?
