XBox one controller shuts off after connecting to PC

Discus and support XBox one controller shuts off after connecting to PC in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Any help would be appreciated.     XBox one controller shuts off after connecting to PC


    Any help would be appreciated. My XBox One Elite controller instantly shuts off right after I connect it to my windows 10 PC using a wireless adapter for windows. If I log out of my computer and connect it before I log in it will stay connected for the duration
    of my session unless it times out or I turn it off. This doesn't happen on my laptop. This just started happening a few days ago. I posted earlier and thought I fixed it so i deleted the post. The issue is still prevalent so I'm posting this issue again. Thanks

    Xbox One Controller connected to PC - how turn it off?

    I've read online that the Xbox One controller normally shuts off by itself after 15 minutes of inactivity but the Xbox One guide button on the controller stays lit indefinitely when conntect to my pc. I'm using AA batteries, so I don't want to drain them,
    is there anyway to shut off the controller other than disconnected it and taking out the batteries? Will it turn off after it is disconnected from the usb cable?

    Also, has microsoft said anything about making a wireless dongle like the 360 for pc? Also does the plug and play kit work when you hook it up to your pc? And is there no gui for windows pc like the 360's little battery monitor?

    Windows 10 Pro - Xbox one Controller Problems (need PC restart?)

    Hi Guys,

    i use Windows 10 Pro 64Bit and a (black) Xbox One Controller connected with the USB Receiver (USB 2.0 Port).

    When i start the Controller the first time (after PC startup) the Controller works fine. But when i turn the Controller off, the next time i start it up, the Controller is not connecting. The Xbox Logo begins to
    flash... then the LED is lit constant and after 3-5 seconds the LED and Controller turns off.

    After a PC restart, the Controller works without any problems.

    Does anyone have the same or a comparable problem ?

    (sorry for my english XBox one controller shuts off after connecting to PC :) )

    Xbox restarts.

    1- If the controllers are connected then you may still hear the Xbox's fans running after you shut it off. They will remain on until the controllers are fully charged.

    I read through the different articles linked on that page and only found one mention of the controller shutting off. In the "Your Xbox Wireless Controller Shuts Down" article, it says that the controller is designed to shut down after 15 minutes to conserve
    batteries. This isn't the low-power state I'm referring to. The old 360 controller did this.

    I'm not sure I understand what the issue is...? When you say "not launching anymore", are you saying the Xbox no longer boots up? Or, when you say "after a while it shut down", are you saying it is randomly shutting down (powers off)? Or, is this a problem
    with the controller connecting and staying connected to the Xbox?

    [PC] Xbox One Controller Won't Turn Off

    Hi Basx3,

    The controller will need to be disconnected from the provided USB cable to allow the controller to turn off. Since you are on the PC, the controller does not have the same power menu the Xbox One does to manually shut off the controller.

    The USB cable is supplying power to the controller from your computer.
