XBox One Controller - Right Bumper Constantly triggers when not pressed

All other buttons work as intended, though the right bumper or right shoulder button will very often act like it is held down. my other controller has never done this and periodically this controller won't as well, though that is short lived. To be clear,
pressing the button still makes an audible *click* that sounds similar to the Left shoulder button, there is no rattling when shook, and will also misbehave when attached to my computer via microUSB cable. I don't mind if it can be repaired for a reasonable
price though I don't want to drop $60 on a new controller.

For people having issues using the Xbox One bumpers.

The design for the controller is great. The issue is when people were trying use the bumpers, they were pressing way too high on the bumpers, which was not the intended pressing point. A lot of people did have issues with the bumpers, some did(I personally think a vocal minority). Anyways, Microsoft has been fixed this issue. I believe the first model of XB1 controllers with the new bumpers started when they first added the 3.5mm headphone jack on the controllers(I could be wrong, it may have been way before that). I think the controller is perfect with the way it was originally designed. When I started seeing complaints about "the bumpers are too hard to press", I had no clue what people were talking about because I was already instantly comfortable with holding the controller.

Ergonomically, this is the best controller I've ever held. As far as quality, no console company know of has a perfect record when it comes to controller quality. Luckily it doesn't seem like any of them are having high percentages of certain issues. A bumper and a trigger on my original XB1 controller are defective though.

Do the triggers work when you test them in Windows?

In Windows 8.1 search for your controllers by typing in USB in the search box. Select 'Set up USB Game Controllers'. In the next window, click on the 'Properties' button. Pressing the triggers should show the Z Axis going up and down - depending on what trigger
is pressed. If the Z Axis does not move, there is something wrong with your controller.

Whether the triggers will work in your game, depends on whether the game you are playing supports the triggers or not. Games that support the Xbox 360 and Xbox One controller natively will support the triggers, other games may not.

As this sounds like more of a hardware issue, may I ask how long you've had the controller?

For a repair, you would need to contact the official support team here:
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us and they can advise regarding how much the repair will cost and if they can do this. If you bought the controller from a store near you, perhaps contact them if it's still in their warranty and request a replacement?

I bought it a few months ago, used, at a GameStop. I have tried going through the support before with it saying that there are no offers on the product ID.
