Xbox one controller right analogue stick drifting up

Its not a software issue, at least in my case. Its the documented problem of the little grey tab breaking in the controller itself. Their customer service sucks for what is a known issue

 

They want you to pay shipping and handling after having paid for the early sku with the mandatory kinect that is useless. I paid to get 4 xbox's fixed last generation after paying full price for them new. I feel like I don't have the stomach to go through
that again this generation. I understand that hardware fails, but the way they handle these known issues and expect you to pay for it makes me seriously consider just giving the playstation a go and seeing how their customer service treats their consumers.

 

yo, i got a fix for this if you know how to open your controller, spray some WD-40 into the right stick and it will work for a while do this untill your new controller arrives Works for me! cheeeeers

 

Pretty worrisome when you search online for a fix to this exact issue and come across this topic on Google with fresh issues..

Same exact problem as the rest of you. Noticed it a few days ago in Destiny and it's annoying the crap out of me. My controller has the latest update for whatever that's worth.

 

My just started it and I can not fix it with anything. It is super annoying to be playing bf4 or Destiny and my guy will be looking at the sky

I know ppl are relating this issue to Destiny, but it's not just Destiny.. I thought it was the controller, but it's happening on Titanfall as well and i bet it's happening on any game that you can look up on.. I believe it's a software issue. Microsoft
you better get on this one quick cause it's not funny.. i already smashed a good controller all because i kept looking into the air as i was getting killed on Titanfall..

 

This is driving me crazy to have a controller do this in 8 months. I have read that it is a controller defect as well with a clip. Not sure what I should do it wouldn't be covered by warranty now. The old 360 controllers last me years very discouraging.

 

I just received my XO controller to use it on PC. I already had this problem with 2 X360 controllers, and know I get this same problem with this brand new XO controller...

same problem. i invert my Y axis so on destiny i always end up looking at my feet. is there a fix for this other than sending a controller back?
