    Xbox One Controller Repeatedly Disconnecting


    Up until today my wireless controller was working perfectly fine with no issues whatsoever. Today however, I attempted to play and not a few seconds later my controller starts disconnecting at random.

    I've noticed that it mainly happens when my headset is plugged in. When I unplug it, the controller works fine as always. When I plug in my headset however, it can barely stay connected for more than a few minutes. The sound suddenly cuts out and I lose
    control of whatever I was doing beforehand. Sometimes the light doesn't even fully go out yet I still can't use the controller or hear game sound. I have to manually remove the batteries and reinsert them only for the same thing to happen a few minutes later.

    I've cycled my xbox a few times but otherwise am not sure exactly what to do to fix the issue.

    Repeatedly disconnecting

    I've been having issues staying connected to Xbox Live on both my Xbox One and my Xbox 360, with both wired and wireless connections. I have followed the support guides here, but they don't help for long. I'm also having issues logging onto my router settings,
    so port forwarding solutions will be difficult. I've had disconnects on Halo 5, World of Tanks and Grand Theft Auto V.

    There isn't an update available for me at this time, and it checked this morning. Controllers are up to date as well. Hopefully an update appears and fixes the issue. Good luck with yours!

    I feel your pain I've had this issue since the last update.My situation is pretty much the same,I didn't change anything or add anything to my setup so it's not interference.Hopefully an update can resolve it.

    i've had this problem since the last update(i think thats when i started) and it will only work if i keep the controller within a foot of the console, it connects for like 10 minutes and then disconnects frequently and had searched far and wide for the answer
    to this, but most people just send the console in for repairs. Hoping the next update fixes this issue

    Do you have any external drives attached to the console? I solved my CONSTANT controller disconnects by simply switching which USB ports my 2 external ssd drives were using on the console. It seems some kind of electrical interference is possible when multiple devices are plugged in.
