Xbox One Controller RB button unresponsive

    Xbox One Controller RB button unresponsive


    My RB button keeps on not working. Sometimes it works for a few days but then it stops working I dont know why does this keep happening.

    Thanks for the help but i did this it didnt work so I just kept on pressing the RB button and it is now working.

    Hi there,

    The only real thing you can do is try some troubleshooting steps. Check does it still happen if the controller is connected via USB. Check the controller has the latest firmware, Settings > Kinect & devices > Devices & accessories > then select the three
    little dots and select firmware. If that doesn't clear your issue you can try a power cycle of your console by following the details in this LINK.
    If that doesn't help you can try a console factory reset, soft reset or full is up to you. Here's a LINK for the steps to reset
    your console. Other than these steps you only option is a new controller. Hopefully something in here helps.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

    Do you happen to have another controller to compare it to?

    Go ahead and do a hard restart and power cycle. Hold down
    the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and turn on the Xbox.

    If the RB button continues to be unresponsive, then the issue is with the controller hardware responsible for the RB input and you will need to replace the controller. Xbox standard controllers have a 90 day warranty.

    I am having this same issue.

    I have been playing story mode to chapter 3

    I can get to map menu but the lb and rb buttons are unresponsive to get to blueprint, player or other menus.

    I can control everything on the menu except the rb and lb buttons don't work

    Game is not freezing. Lb and rb buttons work during game play, just not in the menu
