Xbox One Controller Randomly Turns Off

Hello

i use an xbox one x, i recently bought a blue xbox controller its been a 15days now. I have bought the xbox controller a new xbox battery pack a week after buying the controller but today after having not used the controller for three days, after using it
for about an hour it turned off without warning i turned it back on but 15 seconds in it went off again i had to plug it in only to find out the battery still had power.

I dont know if the problem is with my blue xbox controller or the xbox battery pack

I've already done that. It shows up as an Xbox One Controller in Device Manager, I've also manually downloaded the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled for safe measure. The controller still randomly turns off and on.

Oh and ours also randomly turns itself on as well. Turned off with the controller and was just sitting on the couch and the Xbox just turns on, no noises going on and the remote is still off. Creepy.

Hello Timothy,

Well start off diagnosing since you're not sure which of the two isn't working properly. Try using the controller using double A's or plug it in. If this resolves the issue it's the battery pack. I've experienced loose fitting battery packs as well it can
loosen while gaming if the conductors arent tight enough (you can bend some outwards on the pack before reinserting this might resolve the looseness.

3 Month Limited is usual for regular controllers. If still under warranty Microsoft will cover the controller.

I am using the original xbox one model

Yes the controller will randomly disconnect by itself. It also turned off when I plugged in one of my headsets.

The controller I mentioned is the normal xbox series controller.

Yes I updated the controller and the problem still continues.

It sounds to me like there could be a few things going on, it could be the battery pack is no good anymore, I would try it with some AA batteries and see if this fixes the issue. If that is not the case try upgrading the controller to see if that fixes
the issue!
Link on how to Upgrade Controller lastly it could be a bad connection with the unit or batteries with the controller, you might want to look at that also.
