    Xbox one controller randomly turn itself off and randomly send out LT RT input signal


    I am now using the bluetooth version xbox one controller, using the usb cable to play games on steam.

    I mainly playing fighting game, Dragonball fighterZ these day. I found that the controller will randomly send out LT and RT singal (I have not touch the LT, RT buttons or I just leave the controller on the table) at the same time, some time just either
    LT or RT. The controller also disconnect and reconnect randomly.

    I try using different usb cables, connect to different USB ports on my PC , the problem still exist.

    I also test the game and my usb ports by using my Hori Arcade Stick on many games, and don't have this problems (controller randomly disconnect and randomly send out LT and RT singals).

    Then I try to use bluetooth connection to play the games with my xbox one controller, the randomly send out LT and RT singal still exist and it also turn itself off even I am using battery during the bluetooth connection.

    The firmware of the controller already the latest one.

    Oh and ours also randomly turns itself on as well. Turned off with the controller and was just sitting on the couch and the Xbox just turns on, no noises going on and the remote is still off. Creepy.

    Yes the controller will randomly disconnect by itself. It also turned off when I plugged in one of my headsets.

    The controller I mentioned is the normal xbox series controller.

    Yes I updated the controller and the problem still continues.

    My 250GB Slim keeps turning itself off every 5 - 10 minutes.

    Hi I'm having the exact same problem as the OP. My Xbox "dings" when it turns on/off and it's also randomly turning itself on.

    thank you for the reply... tries the steps in the guide and there was no difference in operation.. I even left it totally unplugged for an entire day, plugged it back in and got about 10 minutes of gameplay in before it shut off all by itself, then a couple
    mins later it turned itself back on, then back off, and back on again.... what's wrong with my Xbox?
