Xbox one controller problems with the headset plugged in,

As anyone else at the problem with the Xbox one controller when I plug the headset in I've tried 3 different headsets, i play then I get no sound or can't speak i need to pull the batteries (batteries and nearly full ) out of the controller for me to get
sound back, contacted Microsoft but they are useless, told me I need a new controller but will need to wait 10 days the console is only a week old, I'm tempted just to get a refund and stick with my ps4. If I turn the vibration off in battlefield 4 or other
games seems to be no problem soon as vibration is turned on it randomly crashes, none of my friends have this problem only me.

Xbox one will not power with updated controller with MS Stereo headset plugged in

Xbox one will not power with updated controller with MS Stereo headset plugged in. Once I disconnect MS Stereo headset and adapter it powers on syncs just fine. Then I plug in the headset and adapter everything works. But if i power off controller or xbox
one it won't sync with the headset and adapter plugged in. Ive updated controller. It works fine with old chat headset. It works fine plugged in usb.

Power off and controller issues

Does this happen with multiple headsets? I only have one headset; Microsoft’s basic Xbox One headset.

Does it happen with multiple controllers? I only have one controller. However, my controller is relatively new and I didn’t have these problems on the controller before it.

Does the same thing happen with that headset and controller on another console?
I haven’t had the opportunity to test them on another console.

Does the same thing happen when the controller is wired? Yes, even if the controller is plugged into the Xbox, the aforementioned problems persist.

Is the controller fully updated? I have made sure the controller is fully updated.

Are you part of the Insider program? No, I am not.

Is the console plugged into a power strip or surge protector? It’s plugged into a power strip.

Did Microsoft support guide you through updating the controllers firmware with the headphone attached at the same time? If they they did not request you do this or you have not yet tried carried out the update then you will need to do this first to see what
happens.

Sounds like a headset or a xbox controller problem ... do u have another controller to try the headset in to see if its the controller that is the problem? Or do u have another headset to plug into the controller to see if the other headset is the problem?

this can actually be a plug and play lead problem!! try taking the battery out of the controller and headset plug controller into the lead then connect to your xbox! then plug the headset in! then while the controller is still connected to the lead and xbox
put the battery back in hope this helps

I'm having the same problem using the chat headset that came with it. I was playing Advanced Warfare and the controller disconnected. Would not turn back on even with new batteries. Finally disconnected headset and it came on. Tried plugging in via usb.
Works without headset. As soon as I plug the headset the controller turns off and will not turn back on. Have tried resetting xbox one, unplugging it and updated the firmware in the controller. None of it fixed the problem.

I have exactly the same problem, working fine through 3.5mm headset jack on controller, next day no sound at all through controller, only through tv. Controllers won't recognise headset plugged in. I have two controller and both the same. Headset ok on other
devices and worked fine on xbox one s prior. Just randomly stooped recognising headset plugged in.

Have followed all trouble shooting recommendations and no joy.
