  1. Xbox one controller problems after update to firmware 3.1.1221.0

I have recently had an update come through my xbox to update the controllers. I updated one controller and now with brand new AA batteries they are only lasting approx 20 minutes on a good day AND the controller is getting warm in the middle. Has anyone
else had this problem? I have spent countless hours on with support and thats worse than sitting ona bed of nails.

Is there a way to back track an update without reseting EVERYTHING back to factory standards? the controller i updated was a volcano shadow special edition, which is now discontinued!

    :)

Xbox Wireless Controller Bluetooth function broken after firmware update

There appears to be an issue with the latest firmware update to the Xbox controller, in which its ability to connect via Bluetooth has been broken.

On Windows 10 PC, this error occurs after attempting to connect:

Xbox one controller problems after update to firmware 3.1.1221.0 [IMG]

    And on smart phones:

Xbox one controller problems after update to firmware 3.1.1221.0 [IMG]

I have also discovered that this is not specific to my case, as a number of other users have encountered the same problem after updating their controller's firmware to version 3.1.1221.0 (https://forums.androidcentral.com/ask-question/749006-xbox-one-controller-bluetooth-can-not-pair-aga...)

It would appear that this issue affects most or all of users who updated their controller to 3.1.1221.0.

I hope that this is forwarded to the right people, so the issue can be fixed in the next firmware update.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Aceof.

Thank you for contacting Forum support.

    Just to clarify a bit.

When the control does not have batteries in it does it still get hot? (If plugged in without batteries)

Does the control heat up with a different set of batteries? (Different type)

    Try to re-update the control-

  5. Hello XBF Jeremy Z

no the controller only gets warm with batteries in it and using it. Today i bought duracell batteries and placed those in the controller. Within 20 of playing a game the alert was coming up that the batteries were low and the center of the controller
was warm. This only started after an update came through and updated this controller. My original controller was doing it and somehow now it didn’t do it today and the firmware number for that remote is not the same.

    Thanks Jacob
