Xbox one controller problem - SRX1358889688ID

I have been trying to get my controller replaced within warranty for more than 2 months now... This reference number SRX1358889688ID - Alexander from Xbox Support - applies.

In January 2016 ... bought a controller on special from Incredible connection. More than 2 months ago the controller started drifting up as you try to play with it. I took it back to Incredible Connection and they said MS honors these warranties. So after
trying to log a support ticket... I found it impossible because xbox.com support wants the serial to a console. Well I put the ball back into Incredible Connection's court and they found a way to contact a support technician and they contacted me twice...
as in the above number.

The support person said they were going to phone me and arrange a replacement controller. Well its been a month since the last communication and really MS Support has now shown me that they don't really care about their customers.

Please review the above number if you want to help me, if you can help me, but right now I have had enough of MS and will never buy another gaming device or product from them ever again.

Xbox One controller not recognized by windows 10.

Have you tried a different Xbox one controller?

If it works with a different Xbox One controller I would begin to expect the controller as the problem.

I'm sorry to see any controller issues! You mention both a button and a pad; are you using an Elite controller that you have a paddle mapped exactly the same as your X button? If that's the case, have you reset the configuration instead of just re-doing
it?

However, if that's not what you mean, can you explain "pad" for me? I just want to make sure we're on the same page with this issue.

If you aren't using an Elite controller, resetting configurations to default is still a good idea to test it out. If that doesn't work for you, do you have another controller you can test out with that configuration? Configurations are saved per profile,
not controller/console, so you should be able to test out if it's the controller that's the issue.
