Xbox One controller - PC issues

So the drivers for the Xbox one controller and the PC had finally been released today, and the controller works great...when it actually works. It would seem if I set the controller down for a minute or two, the controller will shut itself off, almost like
the USB hub put it to sleep, but it's not because I disabled that option. When I go into the joystick options to test the buttons, there is no input recognized by Windows. When the controller appears to shut itself off, the controllers primary light (the large
"X") on the controller is still lit as well as the microUSBs little LED light to indicate it's plugged in, but I noticed that the smaller LED light changes from yellow to white when it seems to shut itself off.

I'm going to try a few things such as:

Installing the x86 driver (because I currently have the x64 driver installed). I'll report back if I find anything useful.

So, I plugged my controller into a USB 2.0 port (from USB 3.0) and the issue seems to have gone away ... I'll post back if it hasn't.

No problems here with USB 3.0. Only game I had an issue with was Skyrim until I realised that my wired 360 controller was still plugged in. Removed the this controller and the game started to use the One controller straight away.

Hello Hugo,

Sorry for the issue you are having with the controller. As the Afterglow is not an official Microsoft controller there may be issues when trying to use it on a PC. You can try and connect it via a cable go into device manager look for the controller and
update drivers that way. You can try this troubleshooter,
Xbox one controller to PC.

If the issue persists, try connecting the controller via USB to help update the controller on the PC.
