xbox one controller pass through audio won't work on my pc

I tried the forum https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-windows/692a88c9-f24e-40ab-90ad-088bf2b7b50d ,
and the solution doesn't work. The xbox controller works on games(but no audio) but when looking at audio options its like it doesn't even sense the controller audio port. I tried uninstalling the Bluetooth driver but on device manager it won't let me uninstall
the xbox peripherals driver in device manager.

for audio to work with a xbox controller on pc it has to be wired, the controller does not support audio over bluetooth. thats why i purchased a usb headset as its a pain.

I just updated my controller and it now plays game audio through the chat headset that came with my One but I can't chat with it anymore. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

my controller is updated and the game audio won't work sometimes it will it just won't show the chat mixer option HELP

for a headset to work through the xbox controller on pc it (the controller) has to be wired or using the xbox wireless adapter, audio passthrough is not supported via bluetooth.

It does mention, on the link you provided for the drivers, That the Headsets won't work through the controller and must be plugged directly into the PC.

Although it specifically mentions the MS manufactured ones, I can't imagine there's that much difference in the interface between other headsets.

Hopefully with Windows 10 right around the corner, the drivers may be updated to push audio through the controller too.

In addition to being able to control the A/V receiver...I also need the HDMI passthough in the Xbox One to work even when the Xbox One is in standby (i.e. continue to pass through audio/video even when not using Xbox One).
