    I've had my Xbox one for little over a month now. I bought my xbox one w/ a play and charge kit and began playing it with the charge kit in the controller via usb and had no issues then when i disconnect the usb ...within in 2 minutes the controller disconnects
    and reconnects. Its SOOOO FRUSTRATING OMG. So i reconnect and within 2 mins it does it all over again. I figured hey maybe its the controller and it just needs a update. Updated the controller and nothing has changed. Ok maybe its still the controller, so
    i buy a new controller today to find out if its the controller and i figure out the new controller does the same damn thing. So *** ***.

    Is it my console?!

    Controller only works with USB connection

    I don't believe it is the controller at fault. I have the same issue where the controller can be paired but it won't stay connected for more than 30 seconds or so at a time. I have 2 controllers and used 4 sets of fresh batteries. I tried with and without
    Kinect enabled. I think the odds of having 2 controllers (a day one and separate unit) both fail to be far less likely that the wireless transmitter on the console being faulty or interfered with somehow.

    Using a USB cable on the other hand works perfectly.

    It could be actually, it could also be your positioning of the console. If you have the console in a case with doors that have metal or glass- that causes issues with the connection with the controller. If it's possible try to avoid that, and move the console
    away from those areas.

    Also, it may in fact, be the console too. See if the controllers work with other consoles.

    my 40 inch samsung tv sits on a 3 foot tall dresser stand and my gaming chair is 3 feet away from my tv and my xbox is sitting on the original box it came in about half a foot off the ground

    my 40 inch samsung tv sits on a 3 foot tall dresser stand and my gaming chair is 3 feet away from my tv and my xbox is sitting on the original box it came in about half a foot off the ground

    Controller issues. Xbox one says "there is noe kontroller via the USB, when there is!

    . The problem is that my xbox one says "there is no controller via USB. Control that the USB cabel is in the console and the controller, then try again."

    But there is a usb cabel in the console and the controller! I've tried different usb cabel.

    The cabel works, but only when it comes to charging the battery. Nothing else.

    USB headsets do not work with Xbox One. The only ones that will work are ones that use a 3.5mm jack with the controller or one of their (Xbox) certified headsets.

    What battery are you referring to? Are they actually re-chargeable?

    The Xbox One controller should work on a PC while wired with or without a battery. If no battery is present, the USB port itself will power the controller.

    As for ports, it won't matter what port you use. While there are indeed different types of USB ports, the Xbox One controller will work on any USB A port as it only needs USB 2.0 which have been standard for over 15 years now. All USB ports are backwards
    compatible with previous versions.

    There could be an issue with your controller cable. Have you tried a different one? For the controller to function when wired the cable must be able to send and receive data. Any USB to Micro USB cable rated as a 'Sync and charge' will work with the Xbox
    One controller. Other than that the port on the controller could be damaged.
