Xbox One Controller on Windows 10 with USB Hub NOT WORKING

I had a USB2 hub (a battleship from the target dollar-section) and it works fine on my xbox with controllers with no batteries or anything else I plug in (except for gaming off harddrives because not usb3), but on my computer it would always tell me that
there was no controller connected when I started streaming. The controller lights up like it's plugged in and works as a controller for other games. I then thought "maybe it is because my hub is too old and slow?" So I went out and bout a high speed usb3 hub
with power and have made sure that the speed was good, but alas the controller still does not work in the hub when I start to stream. The controller works fine if I plug it in directly to the computer or the usb extension cable. Any ideas?

    :)

  2. Xbox one controller on PC

Hello. I just bought Xbox one controller to use with PC (Windows 10). I have a problem when controller doesn't work properly in _powered_ USB 3 hub. When plugged in, controller lights up and appears in Devices and printers/Device manager, but doesn't appear
in joy.cpl or respond in games. It works properly in all ports on my mainboard, including the one hub usually occupy, so the problem is apparently the presence of the hub. But when I try various devices in the hub, they work without issues. What could be the
reason? Where can I find some error messages? There's nothing in the event log. Also, another question. Can I somehow update controller's firmware in the controller from Windows?

usb gamepad detected as usb generic hud w10

I tried connecting it to every USB port, disconnecting other USB periphericals and nothing happened, in device manager appeared in the section "USB bus controller" as "generic USB HUB" like in my pic (don't recognize it as a game device) I tried restarting and as I told, I even reinstall windows 10 and the problem persist.

How to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10

When you update your Xbox controller, you get the latest controller improvements. You can update your controller wirelessly or via USB.

For help with update problems, see Troubleshoot update issues with your Xbox One Controller.

On Windows 10, update your controller by using the Xbox Accessories app:

    1. Get the app from Microsoft Windows 10 by searching for "Xbox Accessories."
    2. Launch the Xbox Accessories app.
    3. Connect your Xbox One Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
Note You'll be prompted to update to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition if you haven't yet done so.
    4. When the controller is connected, you'll see the message “Update Required” if an update is mandatory. Install the update.
Note You can also go to Device Info to check for updates.
    Notes

    • The Xbox Accessories app is available only on Windows 10.
    • Controllers that don't have a built-in 3.5-mm audio port must be updated using a USB connection and must have the Windows 10 TH2 Update (or later).
    • Updating the controller over Bluetooth is not supported.
    • Bluetooth requires PCs running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. See Windows Update: FAQ to learn how to get the latest Windows update.
