Xbox One Controller Now Dropping Out

Hello,

I bought a Titanfall Xbox One Bundle brand new in June this year. It was working great, then I updated it and I updated my controller as well. Both the console and controller are fully updated however now my Controller continually drops out!

I am only sitting on the couch definitely no more than 2 meters away from my xbox one. I do have a wifi modem/router probably 5 meters to the right but as it was working fine previously I don't think it is interference from the wifi router.

I have my Xbox One patched into my modem/router with a long cat5e cable.

So what happens now is probably every 15 minutes to half an hour my controller just disconnects.....well it says on the screen that my controller is disconnected and press a on a connected controller and I press a on the allegedly disconnected controller
and it connects again.

I have noticed that doing things such as if I move my leg up into a more comfortable position and perhaps it obstructs the view of the controller to the Xbox/Kinnect that it will cause it to drop out.

What is this s***??????

I update my Xbox and it actually becomes worse than it was in the first place! Kinda like those dodgy Windows Updates that MSFT pumped out recently. It seems that the same defective testing that happens for Windows is happening on the Xbox One.

And don't even get me started on my Windows Phone and the new Facebook app........you're totally f****d Microsoft!

Same here. My controller was working and now it keeps dropping the connection.

This issue is not supposed to happen with wireless controllers unless damaged by dropping or throwing them in mid gameplay

To give you an idea of how far away I am from the Xbox One, I have the official Microsoft Play and Charge kit and the MicroUSB Cord reaches to where I sit on the couch and has plenty of slack still, so as you can tell I am not far away from my Xbox at all
and there is no reason for it to drop out just because I change the way I am sitting etc!!!!!

 

It won't let me edit my post so anyway yes I have tried all the instructions here:

support.xbox.com/.../wireless-controller-disconnects (Except I don't have a second controller to test) I have pulled the battery pack out of the controller, power cycled the console and then resynced the controller. Please don't tell me to turn it off then
on again......this is not an episode of the IT Crowd and I have done all the things in the above link and even taken it further with my own trouble shooting (i.e removing battery pack from controller then power cycling console) and so it very much appears
that the July software update/s has stuffed things up!!!

 

Same problem here! I've tried everything! I even bought the Play N Charge Kit! Disconnects more when I connect my headset!

 

Of course there is no answer from Microsoft about this........

 

Hey I just got a random 258mb update when I turned on my console today.....and it's not the Oct update because I'm not in the preview program. So far controller is stable, will advise.

Is anyone working on this problem?

I and most people have this problem and we have already done the replacement of both the controller that the console itself.

We would like at least one abutment with an answer in the forum since the problem is not limited to a single user but most people in the world.

ASS4SSINO, the funny thing is that there are two cases: The users who have had this problem since purchasing the console -> hardware problem. And users who have never had this problem and after the September update started having -> software problem!

I tried contacting MS through chat but the clerk did not know anything and forced me to replace the console! Will not help change the console if the problem is in the software!

 

Yea they can get right and royally *** if they think I'm replacing my console.....I painstakingly downloaded >40GB of Titanfall, >40GB Forza 5 and like many many other titles Worms, Trial Fusion not to mention the HUUUUUUGE game updates. So no way I'm going
through that again. I'd sooner demand my money back I reckon.
