    XBox One Controller Not Working


    Hi All

    We’ve encountered a problem where my son’s controllers are no longer working. The problem is definitely with the console as it’s the same with both controllers. I think it may be to do with his friend coming over last week who had a wireless universal controller who wasn’t using it on the xbox but was using it for his mobile Ninendo Switch. Now the controllers we have for the XboxOne barely work they only go extreme left and right and not down at all and you need to push A around 10 times before the highlighted icon onscreen will select. Has anyone heard of this problem before? Can it be corrected remotely via the app as I cannot get into settings because of the controllers not working. Thanks! Jason

    Hi there,

    A 360 controller will work with a 360 console, and an Xbox one controller will work with an Xbox One, but a 360 controller will not work with an Xbox One and vice versa.

    The Xbox Series X controllers will work on Xbox One consoles, and the Xbox One controllers (including the Elite/Elite V2) will work on Xbox Series X too.

    Hi,

    as far as I know any Xbox One controller will work on any Xbox One (or Series S|X) consoles.

    So a controller that came with a Xbox One S, should work fine with a regular Xbox One.
