    Xbox One controller not working


    So today I turned on my console and played a bit of The Evil Within, everything was fine, I turned off my Xbox to do something. When I returned, I started it up like normal, but nothing I do will make the controller have any input, it's light is on, but
    it doesnt do anything, none of the buttons have any input. When i hold down the xbox button it just shuts off, when I go to turn it back on, theres still no input....

    Headset and wireless controller

    6 week old Xbox one, wireless controller and head set, all working fine and now headset and controller not working together. Checked headset else where and working fine, checked controller and all working, any suggestions please . Have already switched
    off and reset, disconnected controller and re-set already still not worked

    Try re-syncing perhaps? Hold down the sync button and point it at Kinect.

    It appears that I had to just disconnect my Xbox from the power strip, plug it back in, perform a system update and it worked... Its working again. For now.

    This is a problem I have all the time it's happened 3 times this week but it's far from just a single controller all 3 of mine do it plus it doesn't allow smart glass input either to fix it I have to hold the consoles power button for 10 seconds to hard

    Hi there,

    A 360 controller will work with a 360 console, and an Xbox one controller will work with an Xbox One, but a 360 controller will not work with an Xbox One and vice versa.

    The Xbox Series X controllers will work on Xbox One consoles, and the Xbox One controllers (including the Elite/Elite V2) will work on Xbox Series X too.

    Hi,

    as far as I know any Xbox One controller will work on any Xbox One (or Series S|X) consoles.

    So a controller that came with a Xbox One S, should work fine with a regular Xbox One.
