xbox one controller not working when streaming on windows 10/gta iv

i cant get my controller to work when i stream on my pc while playing gta iv?? sometimes it works and sometimes it dont?

Xbox one controller buttons not working in game only on certain game

My Xbox one controller works on every single game I own except for GTA V. As soon as I start the game all buttons on my controller immediately stop working and only the home button works. I am streaming from my xbox one to my windows 10 pc

Xbox app streaming not (any longer) supports two controllers ?

I am connecting two Xbox one wireless controllers through an Xbox Wireless Adapter to a Windows 10 PC, and always playing my Xbox one console games on Win 10 by streaming, and those all went right and smooth, until the recent updates.

Now, with the latest updates of both the Xbox one console firmware ( 10.0.15063.3054/rs2_release_xbox_1705.170512-1759 ) and the Xbox App ( 29.29.17002.00000 ), only one ( the first working one when streaming starts ) controller is usable in streaming. No
matter in the home page or in game, only one controller is recognized by the console.

The two controllers are the original first gen Xbox one controllers (without 3.5mm jacks), both individually properly recognized by Windows 10 ( Win 10 Pro 1703/15063.296 ) and works well, even inside the Xbox app itself, except streaming.

Any suggestions?

No, the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app is not compatible with Windows 10. However, Microsoft has a newer app called Xbox app that works on Windows 10 and provides similar features such as remote control, streaming, and social features for Xbox One consoles.

Same issue here. I have four controllers all working in Windows 10 and can navigate in the xbox app, but as soon as streaming starts, only one controller is usable.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked the available updates for both my Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. There was an update available for the Windows PC and I downloaded and installed it. There was not an update available for the Xbox One.

I also connected all of my controllers to the Xbox One and searched for updates, and none were available.

So everything should be on the latest updates.

I did try and plug the controllers into the Windows 10 PC over USB to see if that helped, but I got the same results. In the Xbox app in Windows all of the connected controllers worked for navigation of the menus and making selections. It is when I connect
to the Xbox One and open streaming that I lose the ability to do anything except with the one controller. The issue isn't isolated to a single controller either, whichever one I connect first works while streaming, and all the others won't. If I try again
using a different controller, then that will be the one that works and the others don't.

I have not made any changes to my system or connections outside of applying the updates as they come along.

I am not able to try a different Windows 10 PC as this Surface Pro 2 is my only one.

Everything else about streaming the games works great, I am hoping you can help me find a solution to the controller connection issue as it is the only thing standing in my way. Thanks again for your support.
