    Xbox One Controller not working properly in most games anymore


    I wanted to configure my new Xbox one controller in a way that changes the sensivity of the analog stick in order to be more precise.

    At this time it worked in every game.

    I tired the Demo version of ReWASD (Remap Xbox One controller with powerful gamepad mapper) first and i had no problem what so ever.

    But then my trial expired and i tried Durazno (KrossX/Durazno) and i think that durazno messed it up.

    I used Durazno as described in the readme and when it didnt have any effect in GTA V i tried moving the xinput dll files directly into the system32 folder but none of the existing files were overwritten because they were in currently in use (and i have a
    backup of the original files).

    Some Games (Arma 3, GTA V for example) dont seem to process the inputs correctly anymore because when i move any of the analog sticks a tiny tiny bit the game sees it just like i would press W A S or D for example. Some other games like Watch Dogs, Rainbow
    Six Siege, Rocket League are working completely fine.

    I already tried reinstalling DirectX but i dont know if i did right.

    Repare controller

    Hi,

    On on of our controller the RB button is not working properly anymore. Does Microsoft have any service shops in Haarlem, The Netherlands where we can bring our controller for reparation?

    Xbox One controller not working properly

    In this case, the controller is most likely the issue.

    You can reach out to the
    chat team     to see about repair options if you like.

    They will be able to supply you with info about warranty options if they are available.

    The most common reason that I've had to replace my controllers was because the either control sticks got jammed or the " A " button wasn't working properly anymore.

    With that being said, do you guys realized that the most abused button on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers are the " A " buttons LOL :)

    FPS gamers, what is the average life span of your analog sticks?

    I just swapped out the old sticks for some new ones a few days ago on my Xbox One controller. The old sticks got loose and had a wobble to them. That controller is secondhand and had a heap of wear already. The new one I bought the left bumper stopped working
    properly so I don't really use it anymore.

    This could also be an issue with the controller not being synced properly, most likely due to something like a controller firmware update (I know there was one of those recently) or a general Xbox update. I would follow this support troubleshooter about
