    Xbox One Controller not working properly in DirectInput games


    When I try to use the Xbox One Controller in older games that use DirectInput, the game constantly receives a Z axis negative signal from my controller. I checked the controller's properties in Devices & Printers and noticed that when I initially opened
    the properties, the Z axis was in the middle, but as soon as I pressed LT or RT, it would reset to zero. Is this normal?

    Directinput on Windows 10?

    Since latest windows update for xbox one controller on 29th february directinput is not usable anymore by anyone with this controller in directinput games. Xinput works fine and directinput works fine if you use xbox 360 controller. I would like to know
    if there is any fix for this? I do not seem to be able to choose rollback driver or update the driver.

    Some DirectInput based games don't understand split trigger support in the Xbox One controller. You can see the difference in the axes for joy.cpl(Start->Run->joy.cpl) using a 360 controller vs an Xbox One controller (3 axes for 360 vs 4 for Xbox One). Please
    list the games you're facing trouble with as this is a game specific problem.

    the controller I leave it in DirectInput again,the funny thing is that in the xbox pass menu in adndroid, the controller works, but when I get into a game it stops working.

    And if I connect it to the pc in Xinput it works without problems

    In Device Manager select the Adapter, then go to View and View Devices by Connection. If a controller is paired you will find a device tree underneath.

    The accessory app can enumerate the controller and update it as necessary.

    Try the XInput based games, DirectInput games are known to have issues with the Dual Trigger support for the Xbox One controllers.

    I agree, but the problem is that even this remapping is limited to the available buttons that are seen on a standard controller, this is not extensible at this time. The Elite controller features back buttons, but they can only be remapped to standard functions, the limitation is placed by the current XInput software, not by the hardware manufacturers, so a software limitation is imposed on developers. Xinput was designed to replace DirectInput, but the feature set is seriously short.

    DirectInput - Older API - 8 Axis, 128 Buttons + POV

    Xinput - Newer API 4 Axis, 10 Buttons, 2 Triggers + POV

    This is why PC games favour DirectInput over Xinput, but Xbox platform only supports Xinput at this time.

    I forgot to say, that I'm from Greece and searching around the web I didn't find any solution to this one.

    So my only question is how can I get my money back because I'm disappointed with this situation and I can afford to pay another 50+ euro to buy another one.
