    XBox One controller not working on my PC


    Hi everyone,

    First of all, sorry for my bad english but it's not my motherlanguage. But I'm trying do my best.

    Yesterday, I have bought an XBox One controller with a stick, but it doesn't working on my Windows 8 64-bit notebook. I downloaded and installed the official x86 driver but it's still not working. In Device Manager, I can see a new element what I already
    installed (XBOX ACC), but I've got Code 10 or Code 28 message in the properties menu of the controller. I've followed the steps some "how-to-fix" Youtube-videos, but after the last instructions (when 99% of other people fixed their problem) my controller still
    not working. I read some forums about this problem, but I can't find solution.

    I installed and uninstalled many times the driver.

    I tried trubleshooting the problem.

    I have got the latest updates from the update center.

    I also tried other driver.

    I have called the hungarian support of Microsoft, but they doesn't knew the solution.

    I change the USB HUB, change the batteries in the controller.

    Change, checked and tried everything.

    Nothing happens.

    I'm not given up, but it's made me mad slowly.

    Please somebody help me! XBox One controller not working on my PC :( I'll send cookies who will help me!

    Please take into account that this is a public and not a private forum so please don't share any personal information. As for the controller not working on your PC, have you tried installing the drivers for it ?

    Microsoft Xbox One Controller Driver not working

    This is how I have connected my remote in the past when I used it with my computer, just by connecting the USB to the computer and into the controller. For some reason this has stopped working though and no longer turns on the remote when I plug it in

    Have you tried connecting the controller via a Micro-USB cable to see if that works ? Micro USB cables are often provided as charging cables for smartphones like Windowsphone and Android devices.

    Why can I only connect one of my 2 controllers to my pc?

    Im using it through installation but its not getting reconised by my pc. The controller alone works fine with my xbox however its working on my pc. Its the 1708 Model controller which is not working but my other one is also a 1708 Model but it is beeing recoised by my pc.

    You would have to get a USB version or Wireless with adapter controller to work on PC. The one I use is an Afterglow Wired Controller for Xbox Once on my PC.

    No Controllers work. I've tried two xbox one wireless controllers. I've tried all the USB ports on my PC and tried it on my brother's PC aswell as my laptop. They all work for other devices like my mouse keyboard mircophone etc.

    Hello so I have a very specific problem.

    My Xbox One controller won't connect to my PC via Bluetooth anymore, it used to work however.

    The controller will connect to my laptop with windows 10 and it also works when connect to an Xbox One.

    My friends controllers can connect to my PC no problem.

    In my Bluetooth listed devices it says "xbox one controller: paired" it never connects though, and when I "remove device" it does remove but whenever I restart my PC it comes back listed as "paired". It doesn't connect whether I click remove device and
    it's no longer listed or try after restarting and it's listed as paired.

    When going to add new device it never gets picked up, but as I said it can pick up other Xbox controllers and they can connect and work no problem.

    My Xbox One controller also works when connected via a wired connection.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, nothing has changed.

    There is something strange going on between the connection of my controller and my PC via Bluetooth and I don't know how to fix it. Again the controller works on my laptop and xbox and other controllers work on my PC, it is specific to my controller connecting
    to my PC.

    I'm not 100% sure what happened but it happened on a day I was playing Xbox One and games on my PC and I think I might have clicked "remove device" while trying to connect it back to the Bluetooth because it was taking a while to pick it up and I wanted to
    make sure it was going to get picked up by the PC since it was paired with the Xbox at the time. I don't remember the specifics of what happened but I think it was something along those lines and ever since then it hasn't worked.
    You must check your controller generation to see whether it has blutooth enables or not.
