Xbox One Controller NOT WORKING On Batteries (IE Wireless)

NO MATTER how I put the batteries (Which are NEW) in the back of the controller & hit the button on the controller & Xbox One, IT WILL NOT WORK as a wireless controller (It'll work as a WIRED controller just fine but NOT wirelessly)

Don't have anything in the way between me & the Xbox One (Which is LESS THAN 3 FEET AWAY) though it IS around my cable box, HDMI switch & Roku & Amazon Fire Sticks however (Those wouldn't pose a problem WOULD THEY ??)

As for my router, it's off to my left about 1.5 feet away & my cable modem (Which has cable strung up AROUND the Xbox One in the vicinity) is EVEN FURTHER off to my left by about 2 feet

I'm at MY WITS END with my controller (Which CAME WITH my REFURBISHED Xbox that I bought from Amazon) & it's wireless "Functionality" & am now thinking it's DEFECTIVE in that area

ANY ideas as to what I might try next or am I stuck with it till I can get a new controller ??

Xbox one & energizer rechargeable batteries

I'm afraid not. The controller will not recharge standard rechargeable batteries whilst they are in the controller. See here for more information -

My Controller Dosen't Work On My PC

The xbox play and charge kit does not have the ability to turn the controller into a wired controller to use on a pc, it can only charge batteries from the PC's usb ports. If you want to play PC games using the xbox controller you need one of these

There are always some issues with refurbished consoles sold by third party providers. I think the battery slot in your controller is defective and you should ask your retailer for a replacement or get another controller
