Xbox one Controller not staying on

A while ago my controller's rechargeable batteries died, and I decided to recharge it overnight. the next day when I went to use it, it would only flash and not connect to my xbox. I tried to resync my console and controller, but the both just were sending
out signals to no avail. I then plugged in my usb to my controller, and that seemed to work, but every time the usb would fall out because of the vibrations on the controller it would die. Then after that whenever i would try and turn on my controller without
the usb, and it would blink only when I held down the power button and would turn off as I let go. I can't use my controller wirelessly, or with vibrations, and now I can't even plug in my headset without it turning on and off on its own even with the usb
plugged in. I've tried multiple hard resets, I've updated my controller multiple times, I've used normal brand new AA batteries, and still nothing works. Please, I need some help here.

Xbox One controller not staying connected

Not 100% sure this is the right forum to use, sorry if it isn't

Anyways I bought a Xbox One controller around early January this year and after the brief pairing process I have had a breeze using it until the past few days. I used it almost every day for either GTA, Forza Horizon 3, and most recently For honor. Now I
cannot get the controller to connect to the wireless adapter, I hold down the Xbox button till its starts flashing, 3 seconds later it turns off. I've read a bunch about this on other community forums with only a few saying they have a fix for this but nothing
seems like a sure fire way to fix it.

Things I have done:

A suggestion from the community is plugging it in using a micro USB and restarting the computer, This helped it connect for 5 minutes until going back to being broken.

Downloaded Xbox accessories app and updated to latest firmware and again fixed briefly but stopped again.

Made sure all other services are up to date including windows

Even after plugging my controller directly into my PC there's something wrong with the triggers which becomes very apparent in for honor and GTA, If I'm holding down the left trigger and press my RT, It does not register and RT press and quickly thinks I've
let go of my LT and quickly re-applied it.

Again This is not just me there are plenty others with the same problem and very few have been able to fix it, a lot of people are pointing fingers at the anniversary edition of windows 10.

Sorry to hear about the controller not staying on. Have you tried a fresh set of AA Batteries yet? That might help out, or try using a USB cable to connect the controller. This guide will help you with a few different troubleshooting steps.
