Controller connects but will not work

My xbox one controller connects to the xbox one (solid white xbox symbol on the controller) but does not work in conjunction with the system. The xbox one does not respond to buttons being pushed or joysticks being used. Very confused by this. Xbox still
responds to voice commands and hand gestures via kinect. Any help is greatly appreciated

  3. Issues with controller connecting

Hi Has anyone has issues with the controller showing a solid Xbox logo but not working on the system? I tried plugging it in as well and nothing works even though it's a solid light.

  6. I have 2 controllers and noticed that my day one edition has the right hand grip problem you mention. The other no problems. Both have never been dropped so I just think it was the manufacturing process to blame. still very happy and love the new controller

The casing on the left side seam of 1 of my controllers isn't smove & creates a rough edge as a result, but that's about it.

Don't have a controller of my own just yet, but the one I played with at a gaming expo was very smove and solid.

My controller has worked fine BUT it does have a cheap feel to it, doesn't feel as solid as the 360 controller does. My X1 controller has developed a strange noise/sensation in the right trigger, the trigger still functions normally but it does give the
impression it's going to end badly. See how it goes.

Controllers at expos are probably given a right beating to test so that only the best ones are used. I also heard a rumour that Monster Energy send selected cans to their team members with the logos positioned well enough to ensure that the logo is constantly
on show. It may seem irrelevant but it all ties in to make sure the people see the creme of the crop before they go out an buy their own production line models.

  15. With response to the OP, I'm also having disconnect issues with my controller but only after a slight knock. Are you using a play and charge? Mine got significantly better after cleaning the terminals on both ends. Either way, I'm having no real game destroying
problems but I'll be buying a Titanfall controller so that I have 2 in the future.
