Xbox one controller not responding

I have a very annoying issue right now, I was playing assassins creed unity, I paused and went to the ubisoft play option. But then I went back to the game and no inputs were working except the map button. This will also happen if I dashboard and come back
to the game, none of the inputs work expect the map button. Any fixes? Thanks.

Xbox One wont respond to right controller stick movement (confirmed control is working correctly on PC with joy.cpl)

I bought a brand new controller and it paired fine but the Xbox one is still not responding to the right analog stick of the new controller.

Have you updated the controller through settings?

Try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.

That's great to know that you're doing well, DevanDaSilva. Thank you so much for checking. For the last resort, kindly try connecting the controller on a different device such as your Laptop or PC then check on Xbox Accessories App if it will work, you will be able to update it from there.

. But yes, I’ve tried both of those. I have 2 controllers and the other is working perfectly fine and I’ve also tried connecting the non-responsive controller to the Xbox via USB-C and it still didn’t work.

This is an odd one, my controllers have been disconnecting recently as well but for never more than a few seconds at a time, and maybe only once during excessive use. For it to randomly become unresponsive for longer periods makes me believe it may be
a hardware issue?

Have you followed the steps in this support page, Update xbox wireless controller?

You need to do it on all controllers you use.
