    XBOX ONE CONTROLLER NOT FUNCTIONING AFTER UPDATE


    My xb1 controller decided today to stop working after the firmware update. All buttons are non responsive unless I plug in the usb cable, the only issue I have with that is my online friends will be getting the "buzz" while in parties. I've done the power cycle and even removed the battery to remove any static charge, but still no luck. Anyone else having the same issues?

    UPDATE: A friend contacted me and suggested that I power cycle (hold Power button for 10seconds) both, the Controller and the Console. The controller is now paired with the console and is working correctly.

    Do you happen to have any other wireless items near your Xbox One console that may be causing interference with your controller? Also, do you have another Xbox One controller you could try on your console? And are you able to try your controller on a different
    Xbox One console to see if the issue persists?

    Are you able to try the controllers on a separate Xbox One console at all? Also, and this may be redundant so if so, I apologize, are your

    controllers fully updated    ?

    If so, the next step I would recommend is factory restoring your console choosing the "keep my games and apps" option.
