Xbox One controller not connecting with wireless adapter - Windows 10 64b

    Hi!

I have and Xbox One joystick that used to work with my adapter. The last time I used them both was like 4 months ago. The adapter is working, I can see it in the Devices tab and when I press it´s button the light turns on. The joystick seems to work too,
I have recently updated it. The problem is that I can´t connect them together. I have tried everything: restarting the computer, uninstalling the adapter, updating the joystick.

    I also tried:

I only used the adapter and the joytsick for 3-4 months.

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks

    :)

You wrote "The joystick seems to work too" have you an Xbox One console to test it? Can you test your adapter on another PC? Can you try to connect the pad directly to PC with an USB cable? I know that you bought the adapter so you can play wireless but
if a test to be 100% sure that the pad is working fine.

    Hey mate,

having the same issue. The adapter is recognized properly by Windows and the controller works with a cable aswell.

I've tested the Adapter and Controller on Windows 10 1809 and it works like a charm. Since the November Update 1903 the Adapter seems to be screwed. I've called Windows quadruple times and even they couldn't help me with it.

I actually think, I will install Windows 1809 again soon.

Can the X Box One Wireless Controller with Bluetooth also be used with the X Box One Wireless Adapter for Windows 10?

    Hi Beau,

Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to answer that.

The Xbox One Wireless controller with Bluetooth can be connected to a Windows 10 PC with a USB cable, Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10, so yes, it can be connected via the adapter. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 is not
compatible with an Xbox 360 controller and will need the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. I'll provide the support articles with this information:

    I hope this helps!

Xbox wireless controller doesn't vibrate in bluetooth mode

    Hi annix,

The OP posted this thread under the "Gaming on Windows PC/PC Gaming" category of the Xbox forums. Also contrary to popular belief, the Xbox One console does not support Bluetooth wireless technology. The controllers connect to the console using a proprietary
wireless technology unique to the console and the
Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10
. Bluetooth connectivity is reserved for Windows 10 only and available on current production of Xbox One wireless controllers.

I hope that clears things up.

Does the newer controller (with Bluetooth support) still be able to use the wireless receiver?
