    Xbox One Controller - No Vibration on PC


    Hi,

    I've just purchased a second-hand Xbox One controller for use with my PC, but am unable to get the vibration function to work either via USB or Bluetooth.

    The pad is in good condition and I don't believe its an issue with the pad itself (unfortunately I don't have an Xbox to test this for certain).

    I have downloaded the Xbox Accessories app and updated the controller's firmware, but clicking on 'vibrate this controller' does nothing.

    Vibration does not seem to work anywhere, Xbox games, Steam games, browser-based pad checkers.

    I've also inserted new batteries, though presumably this should work through USB anyway.

    Has anyone else encountered this issue, is there something I'm missing or does this sound like a faulty pad?

    I have an old 360 controller that works fine via USB (vibration and all).

    Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

    Vibration

    Change controller vibration on Xbox One
    Press the Xbox button to open the Panel, then select System > Settings.
    Select Accessibility > Controller, then select Vibration Settings.
    Choose the controller you want to edit and select Configure.
    For an Elite Xbox controller, select the configuration profile you want to edit. Then Select Edit > Vibrate and move scrollable sliders to adjust vibration settings.
    For the Xbox Wireless controller, select Enable Vibration to turn controller vibration on or off.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

    Does the controller experience this behavior on both the Xbox One console and a Windows 10 PC?

    Does the controller exhibit this behavior while plugged in via the cable provided and wireless?

    In the Xbox Accessories app, when selecting the Vibration test, does the vibration feel at full percent when at 100%?

    Have you updated the controller's firmware in the Xbox Accessories app with the provided cable?

    I'm not sure if the controller is designed to dial back the vibration in the menus but the vibration should feel at full percent while playing games, unless the game settings has a vibration feature as well. If the game does not have vibration settings you
    should feel the expected power of it being at 100% like it would feel in the vibration test in the app.

    Answer those questions for us so we have a better idea about the issue you are experiencing.

    Hello. Thank you for posting on the xbox forums. To adjust the vibration on your controller. Follow the steps in the following link. Some games allow you to change the vibration from the in-game menu. May be worth a look. Hope this helps.
