Xbox one controller no longer works on PC after pairing with bluetooth reciever

    Hey

So I´ve been playing games on pc with my xbox controller via USB connection. Recently I bought the official xbox bluetooth reciever so that I could play without the usb cable. Since pairing the controller with the reciever, the controller no longer works
with just the wired connection. I have to have the wireless reciever plugged in even for the wired connection. Why is that? The controller worked perfectly fine before getting the bluetooth reciever.

    :)

Xbox one controller no longer works on PC after pairing with bluetooth reciever

    Hello,

Please check if your controller has a firmware update available by using the following app:

    https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NBLGGH30XJ3

That could probably be the issue.

My xbox elite series 2 core controller is not getting into Bluetooth pairing mode. What should I do?

Please ensure you are following Xbox Support's steps to pair the controller: https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/connect-xbox-wireless-controller-to-pc

To pair an Xbox Wireless Controller to your PC via Bluetooth:

Turn on your Xbox Wireless Controller by pressing the Xbox button.

Press and hold the Pair button on your controller for three seconds (the Xbox button will start flashing rapidly).

On your PC, press the Start button, then choose Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices (on Windows 11: Settings > Bluetooth & devices).

Turn on Bluetooth. Select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth (on Windows 11: Add device). Your PC will begin searching for your controller.

Select Xbox Elite Wireless Controller > Done.

If it's still not going into pairing mode, try holding the Pair button for longer than 3 seconds.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Switching Series X Controller between Xbox and PC

Looking at the guide it says thus:

"The Xbox Wireless Controller that comes with Xbox Series X|S includes a feature that allows for quickly switching between a paired Bluetooth device and an Xbox console or a PC using Xbox Wireless. If the controller is connected to a Bluetooth device, double-press the Pair button and the controller will immediately switch its connection to the last Xbox Wireless connection it was paired to. Then, to switch back to the paired Bluetooth device, press and hold the Pair button to start pairing mode".

This only works between a the controller paired to a PC with Bluetooth or another PC or Xbox paired via the proprietary 'Xbox Wireless' protocol. So, if you're using an Xbox Adaptor on your laptop and also own an Xbox you can only pair it to one of them. If you want to quickly swap between console and PC you'll have to use Bluetooth on the PC.

It's the same issue you'd get if you owned two consoles, you can only pair a controller to one console.

Xbox Controller unable to connect to PC suddenly with X light blinking

Can you try pairing it on a DIFFERENT PC to check if it's a Bluetooth problem on your PC or the controller itself?

If the controller pairs on a different PC (or your Android or iOS Smartphone) then the controller is working and you need to check the Bluetooth stack on your PC.

Xbox one Controller identified as Bluetooth LE Xinput Device

    Hi all,

in my case solved as following:

    1) Install on PC app Xbox Accessories

    https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NBLGGH30XJ3

    2) Connect controller to PC via microUSB

    3) Update firmware in controller

    4) During update remove if exist already Bluetooth paired Xbox controller

    5) Pair via Bluetooth

    6) Paired and working correctly same as always worked before

It is very strange as it was working all the time until my son connect Xbox controller to another PC via cable then it was impossible to pair again to original PC via Bluetooth. Anyway working again with steps above...

Good luck and let me know pls if it helps....
