XBOX One Controller No Longer Connects Through Bluetooth

For a while, I was using bluetooth to connect my controller to my PC. One day I tried using the controller wired, and I plugged it in with a micro-USB cable. After I disconnected it and tried to go back to bluetooth, the controller wouldn't turn on. The
light only flashes if I hold down the home button. Once I let go, the light just turns off again. Is there any way for me to change the controller to turn on normally or maybe a way to factory reset it?

troubleshoot the use of your Xbox One controller.

Try this for us and let us know if this works.

Unfortunately, none of the methods solved my issue. My controller will still not connect unless it is wired.

I couldnt get the controller to properly reconnect via Bluetooth, but it does seem to connect just fine through the Xbox One adapter I have, so while this is still unresolved, it's also no longer an issue for me.

Theory of Game

The Xbox One console doesn't support Bluetooth. That headset won't work with the Xbox One in any way.

The new Xbox One controllers (the ones that come with the Xbox One S) have Bluetooth, but that's only used to connect the controller to a Windows 10 PC through Bluetooth.

the controllers only support audio through wired connection, bluetooth audio is not supported on any xbox controller.

This statement is not 100% accurate...newer Xbox One controllers do have Bluetooth support.
