Xbox One Controller no buttons, thumbsticks or triggers etc work

To add a bit more detail to it, I think the controller doesnt actually realise that its on even when its plugged in and has new batteries etc

I have the same issue on two controllers. All the buttons are not working properly on PC. Some buttons function as others (even in default mode where I have no alternate controls set up) and for me my triggers work the right thumbstick. I made the terrible decision to update an older Elite 2 controller that was working properly and now that one is screwed up, too. I checked with some gamepad testers and games and the coding for the buttons before the update were very different from after. ie axis 3 on trigger when I believe it was originally right thumbstick and B0 is used by A instead of the Xbox button.

I feel like it shouldn't be too difficult to program the inputs back to what they were. I'm unsure on why they would change them to begin with.

A wired controller with the UNSC controller top part, standard black bowtie, standard black triggers and LB RB buttons, modiify convex ps3 style thumbsticks and black custom YBXA buttons. Personally my favourite custom controller I have ever made from spare
parts and parts from eBay. I used to have a wireless black controller with red buttons and triggers but gave it to my nephew.

Another slight update. After some experimenting with various games, it seems that the right thumbstick and right trigger buttons are not functioning.

It looks as though I am in need of a new controller.

Well what more do you want from the controller? They are limited to the buttons available to the controller to map each each action. As I said before, the de facto standard is to have the crouch/prone button on the same stick to aim with most FPS. As lama
said in your other thread concerning the R thumbstick, it was used in BC2 and you had no problems with it? Everybody has the same game yet everybody has a different controller. The design may be the same but there could be some manufacturing defects on some
controllers when they mass produce it.

Also, how is the Right trigger and pushing down the Right thumbstick connected together? When you click/use each button/stick, a signal is transmitted through a single dedicated wire that then sends it to your xbox. Your reasoning of having the Right Thumbstick
and Right Trigger being on the Right side of the controller is just absurd.
