Xbox One Controller multiple input

Hey everyone,

My xbox one contoller has started to move the cursor at double speed. This happens with the sticks as well as the d-pad. I have cleaned my sticks throughly, but still did not resolve the issue. I have also completed a full power cycle a couple of times.
This has become very annoying as to select one options takes me a few minutes, what used to be few seconds. Is there any solutions to fix this? I feel like every input from the controller is doubled.

Thank you for responding. I see you have identified the problem is with your controller's right thumbstick. If it is still under warranty, you can always setup a repair on our

Service Order page. Just make sure you have your console's serial number as you will be asked to register it in order to begin the process.

Okay from using the xbox accessories app, i have determined that my right analog stick is a problem. It seems to be drifting a bit cuz when it is not the double action doesn't happen. Any tips on how ti fix this?

For this I would recommend either bringing it to a physical store for a diagnostic check, or repairing the controller. This issue isn't something a cleaning can fix, if it has to do with the programming of the device itself.

first thing to check is to see what happens when you connect a different controller to see if the same thing happens, this is to determine if it's console or controller related.

You already mentioned you tried a power cycle, but please try it via these exact steps:

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds then disconnect the console from power for at least 2 minutes and then reconnect and power on again:

If that doesn't work also try to factory reset the controller mapping via the Accessory app on the console, to see if that makes any difference.

What device are you playing on? Is this issue persistent in multiple games? As far as I'm aware the controller has no functionality to disable inputs from other peripherals, but some games will only allow input from one method i.e controller or mouse and keyboard.
