Xbox One Controller model 4N6-00003 not vibrating in game on Xbox One Console

Hi, I purchased a #4N6-00003 model Xbox controller and whilst playing on an Xbox One console, in game (Destiny) the controller doesn't vibrate.

I've updated the firmware for the controller to the latest, I've tested the "buzz" out in the controllers options - that works, so vibration IS confirmed as working, however, when I go into Destiny, there's no vibration. (Previous controllers worked with vibration
    in Destiny fine.)

I bought this model as it was cross platform (Xbox One, Windows, etc), so I expected the features to be compatible as well.

Could someone help me out with some further information?

    Thank You,

    Ruby.

    :)

    Xbox controllers for windows 10

    Hi, no problem.

None of the controllers come with the wireless adapter, that needs to be bought separately. Product number 6HN-00003

Odd that the cable isn't listed anymore, but the product you mention 4N6-00001 does come with a cable and Bluetooth (you can see that from the back of the
box) as that one is Windows friendly (i.e. Comes with a USB cable)

[PC] Xbox One Controller Won't Turn Off

I bought the controller the same day I made this post. It's a standard model (number is 4N6-00003) As I said before, the controller does make a noticeable high pitched noise when working. It's not bothering me at all and I can't hear it unless I put it up
to my ear but if it's not supposed to be there then I'd like to know just in case if I need to RMA it.

Thank you for the help so far. Looks like a simple $10 bluetooth receiver should solve all my issues.

    Controller triggers... vibrates?

    @ mackemjack ...

I just read ( see below ) about issues with controller not vibrating )

Wireless Controller doesn’t vibrate some or all of the time when playing a game

•Make sure that the game you’re playing supports vibration. Not all games support vibration of game controllers.

•If the game you’re playing does support vibration, make sure that vibration is enabled. For more information, see the user’s manual for that game.

•Make sure that the battery pack or batteries in your wireless controller are fully charged. When the controller detects that the charge in the battery pack or batteries is low, it turns off vibration to conserve the remainder of the charge. To learn
how to check your battery level, see How to check the controller battery indicator on your Xbox One Console.

•If you have another Xbox One Wireless Controller, try to reproduce vibration in the second controller. If the second controller reproduces the same issue, it’s likely that the game you’re using is having an issue. Consult the troubleshooting information
    for that game.

If the wireless controller still doesn’t vibrate after you’ve tried the above solutions, your controller needs to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online Service Center.
