    Hello all,

    I’ve had this controller since December 2019 and it has always worked fine. About a month ago I built a PC and wanted to use my xbox controller to play games on there. I plugged it in using a USB cable and it has been working fine since I first plugged it in. I was playing Forza Horizon 4 today with my controller plugged in, and then the controller randomly powered off while still plugged in.

    I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, nothing happened, I tried unplugging the cable and turning the controller on using the button on the controller (Which is what I usually do when I want to reconnect and resync my controller to my xbox) and nothing happened. I then plugged the same USB cable into my other xbox controller, and it turned on fine, why has my main controller stopped working all of a sudden?

    When I hold the power button on the controller, the button lights up and turns off very quickly. Other times it has lit up twice and faded away.

    • The batteries aren’t dead, I even used the battery pack from my other controller which works fine and still nothing.
    • I have tried powering off the xbox, unplugging it for a few minutes and connecting the controller to the xbox with the USB cable, this didn’t work and I didn’t see how it would, since the last thing my controller was connected to way my PC.

    Why can I only connect one of my 2 controllers to my pc?

    Im using it through installation but its not getting reconised by my pc. The controller alone works fine with my xbox however its working on my pc. Its the 1708 Model controller which is not working but my other one is also a 1708 Model but it is beeing recoised by my pc.

    Sorry to hear it. I think you may want to contact the seller about this. If the controller design hasn't changed then this one may be a refurbished one with a new set of bumpers

    The best would be to contact the seller about that issue. They must know.
    That's what they told me when I asked about it. They said that it is model 1708 Asia version and they also mentioned that it is possible that there are different model/version for each region. That's why I want to know of there's such thing as different
    model/versions for each region.
