xbox one controller model 1708 + play and charge kit usb c

hello , are those 2 compatible together ?

the controller that i own is a old xbox one model 1708 micro usb , it is almost identical to the series x/s controllers in terms of looks but im not sure if its compatible with the play and charge kit usb c .

The battery included with the kit will work with your Xbox One controller without any issues; however, you will need to use a micro USB cable to connect the controller, as the included USB Type-C cable is only compatible with Xbox Series X|S controllers.

use the plug n play charge kit, plug into any usb port for it to charge, done. i bought the series controller for pc, but couldnt get the usb c charging kit, so i got the original xbox one plug n play and use a spare usb c cable i have, works a charm.

no xbox required.

Ones updated model (type c ) with Bluetooth and headphone jack and charges faster

2nd one uses rf signals and no headphone jack you have to use an adapter

And charges less faster due to the micro USB limits

And next gen (higher captain batteries ) play and charge kits only work with USB type c

Xbox One accessories and peripherals will be compatible with Xbox Series X. As to whether the rechargeable battery packs are compatible with an Xbox Series X controller, that has not yet been revealed at this time, to my knowledge. However, the new controller
will use USB-C for its charging port instead of the Play & Charge Kit's Micro-USB plug.
