XBoX One Controller model 1708 headset problem

Hi, okay so my controller doesnt detect my headset. I've read and realise theres no but I have found a workaround.

So i have another newer controller but the LB button is broken so its not usable as a gaming controller without remapping things in-game. But it detects the headset beautifully. So what I did was turn on co-pilot (don't even think it needs it) to the other
controller.

So what I do when needing to use Mic. I turn on the broken controller and plug on the headset that allows me to hear and speak. And i use the model 1708 controller to play the actual game. Its not ideal but it's a free workaround if you on a budget an have
another controller hope this helped.

That's a good workaround, but have you thought of using a headset adapter? You can get official or unofficial ones, and work very well with the controllers.

It could also be a controller problem, if you can't solve it you can always replace the controller under warranty

The issue only reproduced on controller model 1708. I also have the elite controller model 1698 on this device the issue doesn't reproduce.

Could somebody who has controller model 1708 check this issue on their controllers? It is needed for making sure that it was not a problem specifically my instance.

Steps for reproducing:

1. Switch on the console.

2. Plug your headset to the controller.

3. Make sure that all works as expected, the sound played through headset.

4. Wait 15 minutes (this is default time for gamepad sleep mode)

5. Wakeup the gamepad by pressing the power button (button with the XBOX logo) on the gamepad.

6. Make sure that after wakeup is no sound in the headset plugged to the gamepad.

Im using it through installation but its not getting reconised by my pc. The controller alone works fine with my xbox however its working on my pc. Its the 1708 Model controller which is not working but my other one is also a 1708 Model but it is beeing recoised by my pc.

Yes, elite series 2 is not supported yet.

Xbox One S Controller (Model 1708) can pair with iphone.
