Xbox one controller mapping is incorrect on websites

That’s great to know and in regards to your issue, it is because your Microsoft email address is already linked to an Xbox profile. You may need to use a different Microsoft account.

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

It may mean that you're signed in on the wrong account on the website. Make sure that it's the correct Microsoft email address by checking it from your Xbox Series S console.

"On the Home screen, look in the upper-left corner. You should see your gamertag, name, and the email that's used to sign in rotating there."

Or you can check on your setting:

"1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & passkey.

3. Under Show on Home, you'll see the email or phone number you use to sign in."

My xbox console account is under an old email address I no longer have access to. My current email address is connected to a random tag: VehementWord701. I have no idea how to update the email address of my real gammertag without getting a 'That name is already taken' error.

Connect your Xbox Controller to your Xbox, then open the Xbox Accessories app and find your controller. Click 'Configure' then click the little pencil icon. (✏️) then you will find the button mapping menu. Put those to how you feel they should be. now you mentioned that X was acting like A, so if the buttons are normal, even though its not good on ur PC, try swapping them around (X was acting like A, so in the button mapping area, Set X to A and A to B, and B to Y, etc.) and then try that. If that doesn't work, its either a controller issue, a PC issue, or try getting Microsoft. If you need help from Microsoft, use this link: https://vsa.services.microsoft.com/...7-95b45058bee7&partnerName=skype&flowID=skype ,then click the box at the bttom thay says 'Type your message'. Once you've clicked on it, type 'Talk to an agent' into it. hit enter, then follow the instructions. Once you've done all that, you will be connected to a Microsoft Agent.
