Xbox One Controller malfunction

The RB Button is pressing itself. I tried to register it but the Serial Number is too long.. I even tried every number but they are too long. I dont have a XBOX One. I am using it on my Computer.

Left hand toggle button is stuck which makes my tank move forward when I dont want it to.

How can I fix this as it seems a minor issue and the virtual assistant tell me to replace the controller completely ?

Hey there Avid!

It sounds like you are referring to some stick drift with the left thumbstick drifting up/forward, is that correct? If so, make sure there is nothing on the controller that could be pushing the thumbstick forward. If there isn't, then it sounds like your
controller will need to be replaced. If it is still within the warranty period, you can explore that process via the
Online Service Center.

Warranty on the controllers is only 90 days. If your controller is older than that it will probably be easier and less expensive to simply replace it. Good Luck!

Well what kind of controller is this is it the original Xbox one controller or 3.5mm controller? If it is the original Xbox one controller it might be the controller malfunctioning with your Xbox because they are outdated.

Run the controller button tester from Settings>Kinect +Devices>Devices +accessories

Its the "potion jar" icon. Test each button to see if it responds to input.

If it doesn't, you may have to replace controller.
