  1. Xbox One controller malfunction on USB-micro port (connect-disconnect behavior)

    Hello,

I have an Xbox One controller that I use on my laptop for playing.

    I buyed it on May 21th 2017.

Since some weeks, I've noticed that the connection on the USB-micro port is defective, as when I move a little bit the cable around this region, the controller disconnect from the PC.

I tried another cable and it have the same behavior.

It really looks like it comes from the controller port.

Is it possible to send it for repair ?

    Thank you.

    :)

XBox One controller's charge port - what kind is it?

I want to purchase a micro-USB cable in order to connect the controller to the PC or XBox One. But I found out there are many types of Micro-USB:

    Micro-A, Micro-B, etc.

Can anyone tell me what kind of Micro-USB is the one in the controller's front port, so I don't purchase a useless cable?

    Thanks.

turned off console with controller and now wont work

There are three ways to connect your controller with your xbox. you can

1.) Enroll the controller using the console’s connect button

2.) Enroll the controller using Kinect

3.)Enroll the controller using a USB to micro-USB cable

All of the steps to peform each can be found
    HERE

Have you tried all of those options (even the USB one. even a phone charger with micro USB to a USB port will work)

    Xbox bind button Not working

You can bind a controller to a console with a micro USB cord that you plug into the controller and connect the other end into one of the USB ports on the console.

Have you tried doing this and does it still disconnect after a couple of days?

    Wired controllers XBOX ONE X

    Hi

The Xbox One X supports the same controllers as the Xbox One. I believe all official Xbox One controllers are wireless however they all have a micro USB port to allow it to be connected to the console via a USB cable. Additionally
there are are some wired 3rd party controllers also available.

    XBox Controller from gamestop

It is randomly disconnecting and doesn't connect again and I have the latest update. And it is not wireless. cord. and I use the pc, not the Xbox.
This is most likely a software issue in Windows, and I would suggest using another USB port, one that is not on the same USB bus - for example, on the front of the computer or on the back, or using USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0.

If you have another controller to test this problem with that would be ideal, to see if the controller is malfunctioning. If this doesn't happen with another controller I would point towards the controller being the issue.

I would also suggest using another USB cable, as all Micro USB cables will work for this purpose.

Also, does this happen totally randomly or does it happen in a pattern, like when you do something specific?

And if this is a 3rd party controller I would suggest you contact their support as there may be a known issue with this.

Rare problem with new xbox one controller

If the Sync button is not working, simply get a standard Micro USB cable, and connect your controller with the console.

Every controller you connect to a console via Micro USB gets automatically bound to that console.

Just be aware, that you need to use a Micro USB data cable. Some Smartphone charging cables with Micro USB connector only have power but no data lines connected (to save money). So a phone charging cable might not work.

With your controller connected, launch the Xbox Accessories App, and check if the controller firmware is up to date.

After you made sure the controller is up to date, and works with the USB cable, you can then disconnect the cable, and the controller should work wirelessly.
