    So i was using the new Xbox one controller with my Windows 10. I used bluetooth to connect to the PC and used the same connection for audio via 3,5 mm jack. It was working fine. Then I saw a post about updating the firmware of the controller. Connected it
    through cable and updated. Now the audio doesnt work anymore. Only if I connect the controller with cable. But through the bluetooth connection - no more.

    Any ideas why?

    Xbox One Controller - Bluetooth audio broken After firmware update

    Yesterday I bought a Xbox One controller to be used on my PC with Windows 10; the first installation went smoothly the controller was fine via bluetooth and Remote Bluetooth audio headphones worked. Then I installed Xbox rotola app following microsoft's
    procedure and updated the controller firmware: update completed successfully, the controller still works but not the audio via Bluetooth; Windows 10 recognizes it as a controller but do not see the audio remote hardware via Bluetooth; if I connect The controller
    via cable audio works, the problem is only via bluetooth; i guess it is not the controller but a driver / firmware issue. I also read on Amazon that other users have encountered the same problem.

    I have already contacted by chat Xbox and Windows Support and they opened practice 1361214831. With them we followed the basic troubleshooting procedures without success. They suggested I write here to get a return from Microsoft as soon as the issue is resolved.

    The controller is great, i hope Microsoft will fix this firmware issue..

    Will an Xbox One S controller work via bluetooth, and via the Play & Charge kit on Windows 10?

    I have a new PC with ASUS Z370-E motherboard, which supports bluetooth, which I've verified to be working in the latest Windows 10 update.

    The Xbox One S controller should be supported via bluetooth on the latest Windows 10 version. What I would like to know is, will it also work through the Play & Charge kit? e.g. can I use the controller via bluetooth, and when the battery runs out, continue
    to use it via the cable while it charges, and after that switch back to bluetooth?

    If the headset is only a Bluetooth headset, then it cannot be connected to the Xbox, as the console does not support Bluetooth. However, you can connect a wired headset to the controller via 3.5 mm audio jack. If the headset can be connected that way, then you will have to connect via the wire.

    they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

    Hi Diabelnyy,

    Unfortunately it's not possible to connect your headset via Bluetooth, unless your headset or headphones have built in Bluetooth. If the headset's are Bluetooth capable, then you would need to set them up via your PC's Bluetooth settings, but I'm not sure
    if you can have multiple devices connected via Bluetooth at the same time.

    You would need to directly connect the headset to your PC via the 3.5 mm audio port. Connecting into the controller will not work unless you are playing on an Xbox One console.

    The Xbox wireless controller adapter for PC will not work in trying to connect a headset via Bluetooth.

    Is there a way to get audio through the controller without using Bluetooth for the series X controller on a Samsung TV?

    I believe that Xbox controllers only transmit and receive audio through the Xbox wireless signal and not via Bluetooth. If using Bluetooth to connect the controller, you need to use a different method for audio. Wired controllers and controllers connected with the Microsoft wireless dongle can use the headphone jack for audio.
