    XBox One Controller loses power


    Hi just found a problem with my XBox One Controller which is 5 month old.

    When starting the Controller everything is fine. If I play Fifa eg it loses power and sometimes directly powers up again or sometime it stays offline

    The prolem is:

    If it is started and just lies on the desk everything is fine but as soon as you touch it it loses power and quits working. Sometimes I´m able to play 2 mins but then after the housing gets a little pressure (from holding and pressing the buttons) it immediately
    loses power and goes out.

    So I wnted to create a repair ticket but I cannot register the product as the website tells me my phone numer is incorrect. Tried all versions of formatin the number nothin works. That´s frustrating.

    Xbox one play and charge problem

    Is anyone else suffering the following problem?

    when the official xbox one rechargeable battery loses power mid game and you plug in the official xbox one charge and play cable the controller loses all functionality?

    This has been going on for some time now, and I had hoped it would be fixed.

    Xbox one controller won't stay connected wirelessly

    When you have the controller connected to the console via a USB data cable (make sure it's a data cable, as a lot of charging cables for smartphones only have the power lines connected, but no data lines), open the Xbox accessories app, and check if there
    is a firmware update available for that controller.

    If the controller is up to date, remove the batteries, and connect a USB charging power supply to the USB cable, and put it into an outlet near you. Or use a power bank to power the controller just for testing purposes.

    Play with the controller connected to the USB power supply or power bank. If the controller works, remove the USB cable, and insert fresh disposable batteries (rechargeable batteries "only" provide 1.2V power compared to the 1.5V power of disposable batteries,
    also rechargeable batteries immediately lose power linearly, whereas disposable batteries hold their 1.5V power just before they die completely).

    Does the controller still lose power and connection?

    I had a similar issue yesterday. Ensuring that the adapter or wired cord was in a USB 2.0 slot not a USB 3.0/3.1 slot fixed my issue.

    How do i do this and will we lose all the apps and saved stuff? I googled it and it says i have to hold the power button/touch sensor but mine doesnt work. Ours is the normal xbox one and it is still only powering on with controller and same with power
    off.

    Xbox losing power

    Hi, could you try connecting the power supply plug directly to the power outlet if you're using some sort of surge protector or power strip. If that doesn't help then try another power outlet. Are you seeing any red light/s on the console or power supply
    when this happens ?

    It could be your console is overheating and shutting down, make sure there is nothing restricting air flow around the console or that the console isn't laying on a carpet or other soft furnishing.
