  1. Xbox One Controller Left Thumbstick Issues

    Hello!

I have bought xbox one s 1 week ago and now I have a problem with left thumpstick. When I move it to the right it makes sound like crunch. So I would want to repair it with
    guarantee.

But I live in Minsk (Belarus) and we don't have any service center.

How can I resolve this problem?

    :)

I'm having a similar problem, in that destiny, Titanfall, and others aren't registering the sprint, but other games I can sprint no problem- stuff like the Surge or the demo for Prey. I'll share with you what I've learned, in the hopes that we might better
find a solution. So, first off, I'm using a third-party controller. Titanfall 2 patterns, claims to be an official xbone thing. Only actual manufacturer info I can find in its signage points to a Performance Designed Products LLC.

Secondly, I found that mysteriously, when I removed the removable faceplate on the controller, I could, on occasion, get a sprint going, but not with the faceplate on. Also, I wasn't certain (because I was testing in Destiny) but I was fairly sure that my
non-sprint max speed in the stick was slightly less than that with my keyboard.

Third point, after **** with the thing a while I finally found a site to actually test my controller with. html5gamepad.com Displays what the actual inputs you're doing are, generally as decimals out of 1, 0.0 being no input, 1.0 being the maximum signal
possible, so stuff like the buttons just flash from zero to one, but the triggers and sticks all scan through the spectrum.

So, put that all together, I found that the clickstick button was functioning perfectly well, but my left thumbstick was only reaching between 7.1 and 7.3 at its farthest reach with the faceplate on. For reference, the right stick reaches 7.9-8.0 at its
furthest. From these data, I believe that the cause of the problem is that the left thumbstick either suddenly can't reach as far forward or something threw the "variable resistor"/"potentiometer" that measures how far the stick is turned on a given axis out
of wack. (interesting side note, at least on the case of Destiny 2, if you alt-tab away from the game the game will still register the gamepad's input. this is useful for testing.) Testing the system out, it seems that, at least in Destiny 2's case, it needs
to register at least between 7.7 and 8.1 at the time of the click in order to be considered valid for running and thus sprinting.

That's what I know. If you know how to fix this already, Please message me back. If not, I hope what I've added can help you if it's still a problem.

About half a year ago I got the 2015 Xbox One controller (the one with the headphone jack), and for a couple months out was working great; however, the left thumbstick began to stop recognizing inputs correctly. In other words, it wouldn't always go up when
I pushed up on the thumbstick. The same applies for going down, but there aren't any issues when moving left or right. Sprinting in games like Halo and Battlefront doesn't seem to work very well either, and if I click on the left thumbstick to sprint it doesn't
always perform the action. Everything else about the controller works fine, and I am able to go up and down using the d-pad with ease.

A couple days ago I tried opening up the controller hoping I might be able to solve the issue. After cleaning the shell and using a bit of compressed air, the problem was still there and nothing seemed to have been improved. Has anyone else experienced this
problem, or might have a fix?

    Hey there buddy,

All you need to do is log on to
    devicesupport.microsoft.com
and register your console if you haven't already.

Once your console is registered, select replace an accessory and go from there. The service centre for your part of the world is in the Czech Republic, but you'll get a shipping label to ship it off with.

This may be because you have dropped your controller or may have used it to much. Also this is a constant problem with may xbox controller users.
