Xbox One Controller Left Thumbstick Issues

Within the last few months, my left thumbstick has not been fully registering up and down movements. For instance, while playing Modern Warfare Warzone, I try to run by pushing all the way up on the thumbstick, but i can't get more than just a walking speed.
It's almost as if it only registers it as me pushing the stick half way instead of fully. Same goes whem pushing it down. This obviously creates issues in games like warzone when you need to move quickly to avoid gun fire.

Any idea what's wrong with it and anything that can be done? I bought the controller 2 and a half years ago, so i don't think a warranty is still valid.

Side note, the controller seems to be a major downfall for the Xbox One. I'm not an avid gamer anymore but this is already the second controller (2 out of 2) to have malfunctioning thumbsticks.

I register my console but i when select replace an accessory it wrote "If you find no offers available for your out of warranty device, please visit microsoft.com/store if you would like to purchase a replacement." ????

hello! I've had this problem with my controller before. This is when your controller starts to drift I would advise you to go by GameStop and get a new controller.

So I ended up ordering a soldering kit and replacing the joy stick mechanism with a new one and now my controller works perfectly 🤗

This may be because you have dropped your controller or may have used it to much. Also this is a constant problem with may xbox controller users.
