Xbox One Controller Left Stick always goes up when i'm not touching it.

I bought my Xbox One in April. This problem developed slowly over the last few months. The left stick occasionally would register input without me touching it, now it is to the point where it is constant. If I don't actively hold the left stick DOWN it will
act as if I'm pressing UP. This makes almost all games impossible to play.

I still have warranty on my system but support isn't letting me put a ticket in for the controller. When i get to the step where it asks for a reciept it won't let me upload anything or click 'Yes' I have a receipt. Am I out of luck here?

Is there a way to re-calibrate the stick?

After the issues I went through being an early adopter for the 360 I should have known I wouldn't get more than a year out of this thing.

My controller is acting weird...

So I tried playing a game on my Xbox one and suddenly, my left stick is drifting upwards. I even took out the grey pieces from the left stick and it still is drifting up. I'm not even touching the controller and it's not stuck or anything. It just keeps
on pressing up. I know that it's not the grey part. Can someone please help me? I don't know what to do now...

 

Xbox One controller can't recalibrate stick with joy.cpl

I bought a Xbox One controller 2 weeks ago.

I'm using it on a Windows 10 Computer.

It was working fine until yesterday.

My controller buttons works except for the sticks.

I tried to calibrate my controller with joy.cpl but when I test out the left stick it goes always in the bottom right corner.

I tried to reset the controller with Microsoft Accessories App but it didn't work.

Do anyone got a fix for this?

It only lasted 3 months.

 

I am in the same boat. I bought the TitanFall controller back at the TitanFall launch and accessories only have a 90 day warranty on them. So if its passed the 90 day mark the only thing you can do is the following.

1. purchase a new controller

2. replace the joystick motor

3. try to clean on any hair or unwanted dirt that is around or under the motor

There may be other options, but those are the three I am aware of. To achieve options 2 and 3 you will need to remove the 5 screws from the controller using an 8 torx security screw driver which you can get off ebay for $2.99. Once you have the controller
open you can then pick which option is going to work best.

Cleaning supplies:

- Q-Tips

- Rubbing alcohol

- Compressed air spray

If option 2 and 3 don't work, than you will need to replace the controller.
