Why hasn't m.s answered yet. I had the same problem still waiting on getting mine bk I had to pay ,£10.90, for shipping form UK. I think it's a disgrace that we have to pay this money for something that microsoft has Made faulty please microsoft if you're
reading this at least contribute something to our loss of play time an shipping cost

Xbox one Controller Left d pad not working

I recently picked up my xbox one. The controller left dpad was faulty it would take hard presses to get a response. I called customer service and the rep told me it wasn't microsoft's fault.He then went on to say i couldn't receive any compensation for anything
as i didn't directly buy from microsoft, and that i would be without a console functionality for a week. He told me i should return to the retailer, which i can't. Then i am suppose to pay for shipping the controller to the repair center.

Is this how microsoft plans to handle themselves this gen? after their last gen fiasco. I had 3 boxes red ring, so i am not surprised this is exactly what they are doing. Just terrible, others are getting free games for their troubles because their console
was faulty. But my controller not working and someone's console not working results in the same exact thing. We both can't play for whatever the turnover time is at the repair center.

Sad thought things would be different this time around.

Not sure what can be done about this. I presume you have powered off your controller and back on ?

If that has made no difference is it possible that some small object or crumb has gotten under the d-pad ?

If the controller is still under warranty then that would be the next best thing to return it. If it is out of warranty and nothing else has fixed it then maybe (entirely up to you) before you buy another one you try and open that one to see if something
is physically stuck under the d-pad. NOTE, you do this entirely at your own risk and is only worth doing as a VERY last resort and the controller is out of warranty.

It's the little grey cross looking thing on the bottom left part of the controller. Every controller for every console ever made has one. D-pad is short for directional pad.

If it is a xbox 360 slim I have the code. It's LT,RT,LB,RB,X,Y,Left on d-pad,Left on d-pad and Left on d-pad. It reset my family settings.
