Xbox One Controller: Left Analogue Stick Issues Since Firmware Upgrade

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, but since updating to the new controller firmware (Feb 2015) I have discovered there is an issue with the left Analogue Stick - I noticed this playing Alien: Isolation and Halo: The MCC. For example sometimes I could
push down on the left stick and nothing would happen! I would then try again and it works. This is certainly an issue with the latest firmware - as the controller was working fine before hand. Mind you I am using the Camo Special ED controller, so I will try
the standard one tonight to see if this is a common issue or one affecting just specific types of controller.

Xbox one controller left analogue stick

Actually now that I think about it, this makes me furious that it's a common problem. I was hoping it was either just a fluke or something that happened to people who press down extremely hard on their left analog subconsciously.

Best I walk away, go for a run or something and clear my head. I rarely at my age (33) feel this amount of disgust towards something commerce related. This would be a deal breaker and the type of thing I emphasize to my friends when they're trying to decide
between X1 and PS4. Alright how about that run, man I'm fired up.

Xbox one controller left analogue stick

I have just had one sent in for the same problem and my a button sticking, Just got the controller back after 2 weeks without one and the a button seems better but the left stick is exactly the same.

I also can't believe they want me to go without the controller for another 2-3 weeks because they couldn't be bothered to fix it correctly the first time, why am i not offered a swap at the door for my inconvenience?

Poor show microsoft poor show, my whole system is off back if i can't get this sorted so who do i need to talk to?

Update: I tried the controller again just now and it was a bit more responsive. So I will keep an eye on matters.

Oh I see. Probably what's happening to your controller is an issue called drift.

This causes that particular issue, that when the analogue stick is pushed in any direction, it keeps pushing even tho the analogue stick is let go. When that happens, since it's a mechanical issue, it's needed to replace a tiny piece of hardware underneath the analogue stick. :/

Left analogue stick seriously needs to be re looked at.

The new control pads are rubbish quality compared to the Xbox 360 control pad. I've returned seven so far since last November in total due to dull left bumpers and permanently depressed left analogue sticks, and I'm lucky to play a couple of times a week.

Absolutely shocking quality.

No, but I use an arcade stick. How old are your controllers? Sounds like your analogue sticks are not centering when left alone.
