Xbox One Controller LB "stuck" after firmware update

Got a brand new Xbox One plus a spare wireless controller from Amazon for Christmas. Xbox One console was updated, but my boys kept hitting "no" on the controller updates. I finally told them to go ahead and let those updates install, too, and they did.
Now, after the update, one of the controllers thinks the LB button is being pressed over and over. We've taken out the batteries, reset the console, but to no avail. So I plugged it into my Windows 10 Pro system in my office and streamed a game from the
console and this controller still does it. It worked great for a couple of weeks WITHOUT a firmware update. So why would it now start acting up? I'd love to revert back to the old firmware, or try re-applying this firmware, but can't seem to figure out
how to do that. Everything I try says it's already up to date. This $60 controller is essentially junk now...

The controllers have a 90 day warranty. You might try taking it back to the retail outlet for a replacement. Good Luck!

 

It will probably have to go back to Amazon. Wish I could tell which one came with the console and which was the add-on...

 

Just send the controller back as the accessory one you purchased and then keep the console and working controller.
